Lee Memorial breaking ground today on outpatient center

Published: Updated:

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Lee Memorial Health System leaders will break ground today on a 27,000 square foot comprehensive outpatient center in Cape Coral.

Lee Memorial leaders say as health care providers continue to improve on delivering the right care, in the right place, at the right time, care is moving out of the hospital and into outpatient settings.  This conveniently located center provides broader access and more comprehensive services for Cape Coral residents. There is an economic benefit as well. The construction of the $6.7 million project will add 38 new jobs in its first year of operation and eventually will employ more than 100 people.

The center will offer multiple clinical services co-located into one comprehensive service facility to provide improved health care for Cape Coral residents. Services include internal medicine and family practice physicians, diagnostic radiology (including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray testing) a diagnostic breast health center and a lab draw station.

It’s located on the corner of Surfside Boulevard and Veterans Parkway.

More than 50 health system and community leaders are breaking ground on the new facility.
