Swings against cancer golf tournament

FORT MYERS, Fla. – To help make a difference in the lives of cancer patients in need, the 21^st Century C.A.R.E. foundation is hosting the 7^th Annual Swings Against Cancer golf tournament. The event will take place Saturday, April 25 at Fiddlesticks Country Club, located at 15391 Cannongate Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33912.

Swings Against Cancer will feature golf contests and a silent auction with one-of-a-kind prizes. Guests can win a day with Fort Myers Mayor Randall P. Henderson, Jr., including a plane trip with the Mayor followed by lunch at the Veranda Restaurant.

Also up for auction is an Undercover Extreme “Ride and Dine” experience for four with Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott. The winners will be picked up from their home in an armored SWAT vehicle and escorted to an undisclosed marina along the Gulf Coast. There, they will set sail for Cape Harbour on the Smuggler’s Nightmare to enjoy drinks and dinner at Rumrunners Restaurant.

“After having personal experiences with cancer in my family, I’m honored to be part of Swings Against Cancer to help cancer patients in our community,” says Sherriff Scott. “We’re excited to auction the Undercover Extreme “Ride and Dine” Experience. It’s going to be a great time for the winner.”

Player registration and warm up begins at 11:45 a.m. and the scramble starts at 1 p.m. The event ends with a dinner and awards ceremony at 6 p.m. Registration is $150 per person and includes green fees, a golf cart rental, awards dinner and player gift. Additionally, there are sponsorship opportunities available.

21st Century C.A.R.E. is a nonprofit charitable foundation dedicated to helping cancer patients through financial assistance, research, cancer education and cancer screenings. All funds raised will be used to fund programs benefitting cancer patients in Southwest Florida.
