BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Family and friends are praying for a Naples man struck by a bolt of lightning. Right now, Rigoberto Diaz-Segura is in critical condition.

“I feel bad, very bad, right now,” said Guilermo Meza.

He couldn’t believe Rigoberto and Homero Diaz-Segura were the men struck by lightning on Wednesday.

“I know these guys for 10 – 15 years, they live on the side of me. I got parties with him, I know his kids.”

It happened while they were working on the roof of a Bonita Springs home. Deputies said they were trying to get down when the lightning bolt hit.

“He was crying when I talked with him.” Meza tells WINK News he spoke with Homero Thursday afternoon and that he’s doing fine, but that his brother is in bad shape.

“He told me the heart stopped for moments and the doctor, well then when the ambulance came and get him, they make it work again the heart.”

Meza said he feels for Rigoberto’s wife and kids.

” I can’t feel how she feel right now, his wife, I know his wife, these people are very good people, very good people.”

Meza said, “I got my energy with him, I tell God help him out.”
