5 killed in head-on collision near Jacksonville

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say five people were killed in a head-on collision near Jacksonville.

Florida Highway Patrol officials say a vehicle heading north on Florida 21 in Green Cove Springs Tuesday crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming car. Four adults in one car and another person in the second car were killed. The victims weren’t immediately identified.

The Florida Times-Union (http://goo.gl/OglKK1) reports an adult and two minors were taken to hospitals for treatment, but their conditions were not known.
