Dupay hits 5,000 milestone but falls short of world record

Former Mariner High School and Florida Gator star Teddy Dupay made 5,000 NBA three pointers in 24 hours while battling cramps, dehydration and an injured wrist. The 26 year old made 66 percent of his shots but fell short of the world record of 10,381 made three’s in a day set by a man in Oregon in 2012. Dupay’s world record attempt was done at the Dream Center in Tampa. The fundraising event raised nearly $50,000 dollars to pay for disadvantaged kids to attend Academy Prep in Tampa.
