FORT MYERS, Fla. – Eight people were arrested after an undercover drug operation.

On July 23, Fort Myers police used undercover officers to buy illegal drugs.

During the operation, police arrested five suspected drug dealers including 47-year-old Paulette Gary, 33-year-old Merilee Bizzozero, 52-year-old Woodrow Watkins, 23-year-old William Sanchez and 55-year-old Johnie Peacock.

All five were charged with selling cocaine.

The next day, police obtained a search warrant for an apartment in the 5300 block of Summerlin Road. When there, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office tried to serve an arrest warrant to one of the people in the apartment, and that is when deputies said they saw marijuana growing inside the home.

Deputies found 45 grams of marijuana, 11 plants, a rifle, handgun and $1,005 believed to be money made from selling marijuana.

While there, police arrested 30-year-old Michael Piergrossi, 24-year-old Robert Swatseinberg and 26-year-old Jason Henderson.
