Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Heavy rain has caused flooding in streets, backyards and even one restaurant Sunday.

Cape Coral received more than six inches Sunday. A WINK News crew captured flooded streets in the area of Northwest 1st Place and several of the canals were at high levels. San Carlos Park received more than five inches Sunday. Many of the drivers on roads had to slow down as they maneuvered through high water levels.

On Fort Myers Beach, the Fresh Catch Bistro had its upstairs patio flooded from all the rainfall. A WINK News crew was reporting waves at the beach around 6 p.m. due to the weather.

A flood watch is in effect. Make sure if you are out on the roads, you take it slow.
