Allan Romesser, of Fort Myers, was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta traveling east on Interstate 75 in the outside lane of County Road 833, the FHP said.

Romesser drove off the roadway and crashed into a parked 2015 Chevy Camaro occupied by Christopher Walken, 19, of North Miami, the FHP said.

Romesser’s car rotated clockwise and crashed into a parked 2017 Hino TT occupied by Joshua Smith, 31, of Naples, the FHP said.

The Chevy Camaro and the Hino TT were parked off the roadway on the paved shoulder.

Rommeser was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said. His passenger, a 6-year-old boy, of Fort Myers, was taken to Broward General Hospital in critical condition.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the FHP said. All drivers and passengers involved were wearing seatbelts.
