PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Police are looking for a man who walked out of the Wal-Mart Super Center in Murdock this past December with a large screen television.

Just before 7 a.m. on December 14th,  a man entered the Wal-Mart, located at 19100 Murdock Circle, with a large box containing a broken LCD television loaded in a shopping cart.  The man left the cart and the broken TV at the customer service center.

Police say the man selected a brand new television valued at almost $500 from the sales floor, put it in another shopping cart, and left the store without paying for it.  Video surveillance shows the man getting into a dark colored SUV and leaving the parking lot.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man in question is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101 (ask for District Detectives), or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
