HENDRY COUNTY, Fla.- Police and Clewiston Middle School administrators responded to a report of threats made between two students on a social media app which required school officials to place the school on lockdown. Authorities say this was done to protect the students, teachers, and staff members in case of any immediate danger. A search of the school property was done and no weapons were found. Both students have been taken into custody. According to officials, reports of gun shots being fired are false. No firearms or weapons were found.
