LEE COUNTY, Fla.- WINK News is learning new information about a shooting investigation.
Deputies arrested 38-year-old Bruce Thomas after they say he tried to run over a deputy with his car.
It happened at the Tice Motel on Palm Beach Boulevard.
Deputies say when they asked Thomas to stop moving so they could question him, he got into a car and tried to run one of them over.
Officers then fired shots, hitting Thomas’ car.
He’s now charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
