MIAMI- A massive animal rescue effort is playing out in Miami-Dade County. Authorities say many as 9,000 animals were found living in filthy, deplorable conditions. Police have arrested two people, and are actively looking for a third suspect, accused of running an illegal slaughterhouse. The surviving animals are being taken to sanctuaries across the state, but unfortunately, many are not expected to survive.
