2 men rob victim at Speedway store

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men accused of robbing a man at a convenience store Sunday afternoon.

According to detectives, the victim was waiting outside the Speedway store, located at 4960 Palm Beach Boulevard, just after 1 p.m.

Shortly after his family entered the store, two men, both believed to be in their early 20s, approached the victim and engaged him in conversation.

In the midst of small talk, the black male lunged forward and grabbed a gold necklace from the victim’s neck.

According to authorities, the other suspect then punched the victim in the face, before both men fled in a black Nissan Xterra.

Surveillance cameras within the store captured images of the two suspects.
