CAPE CORAL, Fla. – You can help decide the best BBQ in Southwest Florida all while having some fun and helping support a local charity, Caleb’s Crusade. On March 28-29, competitors from across Southwest Florida will gather at Dixie Roadhouse, to see who has the best BBQ, wings and chili. Celebrity judges and the public will choose the winner. In addition to the mouthwatering food, classic cars, monster trucks and live music will also be on hand. Saturday, headlined by the popular 80s band, Lazy Bones. $5 admission gets you five sample tickets to try the food and vote, you can purchase additional voting tickets if you wish. The BBQ and chili cooking competition runs Saturday 3 p.m.- 10 p.m. with the wing and additional chili cooking competition taking place on Sunday from 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Caleb’s Crusade, a Southwest Florida organization devoted to supporting children and families fight pediatric cancer and assist them with their financial challenges. Dixie Roadhouse is located at 1023 SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral.
