FMPD looks to identify purse thieves

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Police are looking to identify a group of individuals responsible for the theft of high end purses and clothing from the Edison Mall.

Detectives have been working with loss prevention at three stores to help combat the rash of thefts that have totaled more than $19,000.

The first theft occurred in mid-March and since then there have been three additional incidents involving the same perpetrators.

Officials say three women and one man in their early to mid-20s have targeted name brand items such as Michael Kors, Dooney & Bourke, and men’s Ralph Lauren Polo clothing.

Police are asking the public to view the attached surveillance still images depicting the offenders.
