Teen with 4-day-old license crashes, car ends up in ditch

GOLDEN GATE, Fla.- Two cars collided at a busy intersection and one of the SUV’s ended up in a ditch.

The 17-year-old tells WINK News she has only had her driver’s license for four days. It happened at the intersection of Recreation Lane and Santa Barbara Boulevard in front of Golden Gate Community Park.

The call went out at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. One victim was treated at the scene for an arm injury and the teen went to the hospital for leg pain.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
