WILTON MANORS, Fla. (AP) – A Florida father has died and five others were sickened from carbon monoxide poisoning after the family car was left running in the garage.

Broward Sheriff’s officials said two neighbors were heading to the gym Monday morning when they noticed their neighbor’s garage door had been left open. They went inside and found 43-year-old Louis Agro on the floor near the door. The neighbors performed CPR and turned off the car.

Agro was pronounced dead at home. His wife and 11-year-old daughter were also found unconscious inside the Wilton Manors townhome. The two were taken to the hospital along with two next-door neighbors, who were also found unconscious.

Authorities said the family’s two dogs died in the home, but one cat was still alive.
