LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Family members say they’re scared and disgusted after a young girl was stalked by a sick man.

The 14-year-old victim says he followed her Thursday morning then touched himself inappropriately near her bus stop at Leonard Boulevard and Owen Avenue.

That man who’s still out there may be no stranger to that community.

“Sad, scared, worried,” said the sister of the victim. Her 14-year old sister told deputies a man stalked her and inappropriately touched himself while she waited for her school bus on Thursday.

“I have seen him coming to my bus stop and him stopping and looking at all the little kids,” she said.

The Harns Marsh Middle School student told deputies the man on his bike approached her and asked for the time then rode off.

Just a couple minutes later, he came back trying to talk to her, then put his hand in his pants and appeared to be masturbating right in front of her.

The girl says the man rode off on his bike.

“It is so close to home that it scares me. really bad,” said neighbor Cassady Henderson.

Henderson lives next door to the victim and has a 7-year-old son. She’s now terrified this man will harass another child.

“Disgusted. I don’t know how you would, I just think that is disgusting, I don’t know why you would do that to a child,” said Henderson.

The girl’s sister tells WINK News the man has been spotted around the neighborhood before doing the same thing trying to talk to kids as they wait for the bus.

“He passes by my bus stop and he is always watching when we get off the bus and get on the bus,” said the victim’s sister.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s to early 40s, around 6 feet tall. The man has black hair with corn rows and was wearing a white basketball jersey with #23 on the back.
