LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lee County family is in jail and facing multiple drug charges after detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office raided two houses full of weapons, money and narcotics.

On Thursday, authorities executed two narcotic search warrants at two homes on the 1650 block of Heiman Avenue in Fort Myers.

The investigation began because numerous complaints of heavy drug activity at both residences came into the sheriff’s office, saying one of the Heiman Avenue houses was a “crack headquarters.”

Juan Garcia, 18, and Ruben Garcia, 67, had active charges for sale and possession of cocaine resulting from a prior undercover operation at both locations.

A search of the residences revealed about 9 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, and 2 grams of Amphetamine. A total of eight firearms were seized, one was stolen. Other items seized include $2,773, a bullet-proof vest, drug paraphernalia, brass knuckles, taser, various calibers of ammunition, and two vehicles.

Garcia was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Ruben was also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Authorities also arrested 35-year-old Linda Garcia who was charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams.

All three were taken to the Lee County Jail.
