Ozzie begins flying once again

SANIBEL, Fla.- Southwest Florida’s famous bald eagle is flying again!

Ozzie was found injured near some train tracks in March. WINK News has been tracking his recovery ever since.

Tuesday, he was moved to a large flight enclosure at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).

A video shared by CROW captures the moment Ozzie took his first flight.

Ozzie is expected to remain in the large flight enclosure to build his strength and flight skills for the next 2-3 weeks.release date has not been scheduled.

CROW says a release date has not yet been scheduled.
