LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A woman says when she answered a knock at her door Thursday morning, two men forced their way in and demanded drugs.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. at a home in the 3400 block of 9th Street Southwest.

The victim told WINK News two men in dreadlocks held her against her will inside of the home for about a half an hour, demanding and searching for drugs. She says she thought they would kill her.

“I was scared for my life, really scared for my life,” said the victim who did not want to be identified.

The victim says she just moved into the home a few months ago and hadn’t yet unpacked boxes and items packed in trash bags.

She says the two men forced her into her garage and searched through the boxes and garbage bags for marijuana. That’s when she made a run for it.

The victim ran across the street to Jacqulyn Suarez’s home. Suarez tells WINK News the woman banged on her door, panicking and begging for help.

A Lee County Sheriff’s Office detective says they’re not sure what items may have been stolen or if the two men were armed.

No one was injured. Authorities are still investigating.
