Neighbors desperate for answers in doctor’s murder

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – WINK News is uncovering brand new clues about the senseless murder of a local doctor and mother, Teresa Sievers.

Sievers was found dead in her home on Jarvis Road in Bonita Springs Monday morning. One woman says a sheriff’s deputy told her the scene was “gruesome”.

Neighbors tell us they’re nervous, and don’t think detectives are keeping them in the loop about the hunt for her killer.

“I’m very scared for my safety,” Donetta Contreras told WINK News Tuesday.

Contreras, speaking only to WINK News, says she believes she may have heard the murder as it happened.

“It was early in the morning, before the sun was up… I got up and I heard what was like a shrill… I have children and I know when a child gets hurt how they’ll have a shrill and to me that’s what it sounded like,” said Contreras.

Another neighbor told WINK News that just before sunrise the day of the murder, he heard what sounded like a man’s voice arguing with someone coming from Sievers’ home.

Shaken by these disturbing details, the neighborhood wants investigators to release something that can help put their minds at ease.

“Do you have an idea who did this? Put us at rest. Don’t let us sit and think there’s a murderer out there that’s going to attack everybody in the neighborhood,” said Contreras.

“I have a son the same age as (Sievers’) daughter, her old daughter, and he’s scared,” neighbor Kimberly Torres told WINK News. “He’s thinking that someone’s going to come in and kill me.”

WINK News asked the Lee County Sheriff’s important questions, like if they have any leads on who the killer is, or if the public is in danger. They refused to answer any of our questions.
