Deputies clear Bonita Springs crime scene

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Five days after the murder of a local doctor, deputies have finally removed crime scene tape from the scene.

Few details have been released and no suspects have been named as Teresa Sievers’ death investigation continues.

Friday, Sievers’ husband was greeted with hugs as he returned to the home on Jarvis Road where his wife and mother of their children was murdered.

Around 2 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office towed away a van belonging to the family. Before it was towed away, crime scene technicians dusted it for prints.

Finger print dust could also be seen on the family’s fence surrounding the home.

Sievers was found dead in her home Monday morning, but days later, there’s still a list of unanswered questions.

“I’m thinking what possibly more can they find that they didn’t already find the first couple days, is what I’m thinking. I know it’s high-profile and everything, but man it’s Friday now and the tape is still up,” said neighbor Rick Mosher.

Deputies have not said if this was a random or targeted killing, but they do tell WINK News the public is not in danger.
