TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – A Tampa Bay area man already on death row for killing two police officers has been convicted of a fourth murder.

A Hillsborough County jury found Dontae Morris guilty Wednesday of first-degree murder. The panel will reconvene to recommend a second life sentence for Morris or a third death sentence. A judge will make the final decision.

Authorities say Morris fatally shot 20-year-old Derek Anderson on May 18, 2010, after learning the other man had been selling marijuana in his territory.

Morris previously received a life sentence for killing Rodney Jones outside a night club on May 31, 2010. Morris received two death sentences for the June 29, 2010, murders for Tampa police Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

Morris is still awaiting trial for the June 8, 2010, death of Harold Wright.
