A spokeswoman for the leader of Roman Catholics in Miami, Archbishop Thomas Wenski, confirms the prelate will appear on “The Late Show” on Sept. 24. That’s in the midst of Pope Francis’ first visit to the United States. Colbert made his debut appearance as host of the CBS late-night show on Tuesday as the successor to David Letterman.
