Man gets 10 years in prison for child porn

NAPLES, Fla.- A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison in one of the biggest child porn cases seen in Collier County.

Daniel Guevara-Vilca pleaded no contest to 454 counts of child porn. Investigators say, he had hundreds of child porn images on his computer.

Guevara-Vilca was first sentenced to life in prison in 2011 but was awarded a new trial because of an evidence-sharing error. Critics also argued, downloading child porn shouldn’t carry the same punishment as first-degree murder.
