FORT MYERS, Fla. – A man entered the Lee County Justice Center with a loaded handgun Monday morning, authorities said.

The man was entering through the Monroe Security Screening Station when the weapon was found, said Sara Miles, courthouse spokesperson.

Both entrances of the courthouse were briefly closed, Miles said.

Lee County deputies took the man into custody and were questioning him.

No further information was immediately available.
