ESTERO, Fla. – October is in full swing and that means Hockey is back, including right here in Southwest Florida.

For the 18th season the Florida Everblades return to home ice at Germain Arena for another exciting and thrilling season of ECHL hockey. The Everblades are looking for another successful year, having made the playoffs in 16 of their previous 17 seasons, followed by a Kelly Cup Title in 2012.

Special for opening weekend, players will wear new black jerseys as fans are encouraged to participate in a “blackout” and also wear black for opening weekend games. The players jerseys will be signed and then auctioned off to fans, with proceeds benefiting the Passion Foundation.

Opening weekend is presented by the Passion Foundation, an organization that works to fight melanoma and build sun barriers over playgrounds to protect children from the sun.

Single game tickets start at just $12 and can be purchased at the Century Link Prism Box Office located at Germain Arena or by clicking here. The first 5,000 fans through the gate on Friday night will also receive a magnet schedule for the 2015-2016 season.

The Everblades take on their rival the Atlanta Gladiators, starting Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. to view the full season schedule, click here. Germain Arena is located at 11000 Everblades Parkway in Estero.
