New details about the arrest of accused killer in Sievers murder

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Gruesome new details into the violent murder of Doctor Teresa Sievers were revealed in the arrest warrant for one of her accused killers.

Wayne Wright’s arrest warrant says he is accused of killing Sievers by “bludgeoning her or inflicting severe blunt force trauma.”

The warrant says Wright had a “depraved mind regardless of human life.”

Just days after Sievers’ death in June, sources told WINK News she was killed with a hammer. On Friday, a court hearing was held in Missouri regarding Wright’s arrest records.

The documents are sealed, but media in Missouri is trying to get them released to the public. The judge says he will look at other cases before issuing a ruling.

Wright arrived at the Lee County Jail Thursday morning, escorted by two deputies. He’s a childhood friend of Sievers’ husband, Mark Sievers.

The second murder suspect, Jimmy Rodgers, is serving six months in federal prison for a parole violation. He will be brought to Lee County after.

The State Attorney’s Office says any new information on the case will be released through them from now on.
