BRANDON, Fla. (AP) – Students at a high school near Tampa arrived on campus to discover a dead deer strung up by its hind leg on a flagpole.
Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deer, which was discovered Monday morning at Brandon High School.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Larry McKinnon says it could have been a school prank.
Deputies say they’re looking to see if video surveillance cameras captured the culprits, who could face trespassing charges if identified.
