Step aside 5K meet the 93X .5K

FORT MYERS, Fla. – There’s nothing average about this race, except that it’s helping people throughout Southwest Florida. Local radio station 93X presents their .5K at Twink Peaks in Fort Myers, so lace up your running shoes and don’t worry, you’ve walked farther.

Runners won’t trek 3 miles here but rather 164 feet. Race registration starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday November 21st, and runners take off promptly at 10:57 a.m. don’t worry it won’t take you long to finish. The first 93 people even get a free event mug and t-shirt.

A $10 cash donation per person will go to help The Harry Chapin Food Bank and support their mission of providing food to 150 partner agencies and feeding over 30,000 people every month across Southwest Florida.

Once you cross the finish line, you’ll be rewarded with a cold beer for some much needed hydration and for 93 minutes after the race you’ll enjoy 93 cents draft beer and appetizers. Twin Peaks is located at at the corner of Alico and Treeline in Fort Myers.
