KEY HAVEN, Fla. (AP) – Key Haven police say they have arrested a carpet cleaner accused of selling cocaine from his work van.

The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/1NMYoPV ) reports 54-year-old Jerry Phelps of Rug Busters was arrested on counts including trafficking cocaine and intent to sell cocaine.

Key West police spokeswoman Alyson Crean says authorities conducted an undercover operation last week. During the operation, detectives discovered that Phelps was using his van to make cocaine deliveries.

Authorities say they obtained warrants for his arrest and found nine bags containing over 26 grams of cocaine and more than $2,000 in cash on him. Officials also discovered an additional 15 bags of cocaine, 21 grams of marijuana and over $9,600 at his home.

It isn’t immediately clear if Phelps has an attorney.
