NAPLES, Fla. – A woman from Fort Lauderdale was killed Sunday afternoon after crashing her motorcycle.

Florida Highway Patrol said the 38-year-old woman was driving west on U.S. 41, east of Cays Drive when she ran off the road. Her bike hit the guardrail and the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike.

State troopers say alcohol did not play a role in the crash. At the time this story was published, the driver had not been identified.
