JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – A judge has delayed the trial of the mother of a missing Florida toddler until early next year. The Florida Times Union (http://bit.ly/1lUwuLl ) reports Circuit Judge Mark Borello on Monday moved the trial date for Lonna Lauramore Barton from Dec. 7 to Jan. 11. Her boyfriend, William Ruben Ebron Jr., is scheduled for trial at the same time. Ebron was caring for the boy and his older sister in July while the mother was at work. Officials say 2-year-old Lonnie Barton has not been seen since July 24. Police believe he is dead. The couple is charged with child neglect and giving false information to police. Ebron also faces three counts involving a potential plan to escape.
