COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.-  A man claiming to be a cop, ended up in cuffs himself.

Rodolfo Sotolongo was arrested and charged for impersonating law enforcement and having more than 80 grams of cocaine inside the vehicle.

It all happened on Alligator Alley early Sunday morning. A group of teenagers coming home from a Miami Heat game say they were pulled over by a man pretending to be a police officer.

One driver says the man flashed his high beams in their rear view mirrors, pulled them over, and asked if they’d been drinking.

“He claimed to be a police officer, he pulled us over using some type of rigged light. He flashed his lights at, on us, and then he waited for us to pass, got behind us and then pulled over. We didn’t even know it was a cop, that’s how subtle his signals were,” said a passenger in one of the cars.

Witnesses say the man drove past them going at high rate of speed. They felt like something was wrong so they called 911. Collier Collier deputies set up, waiting for the man to come through. That’s when the alleged fake officer was arrested by deputies.
