PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A 71-year-old North Fort Myers man is accused of exposing himself at the Charlotte Flatwoods Environmental Park on Monday.
Authorities say Richard W. Donovan approached an undercover officer in the park and asked for sexual favors. Donovan then unzipped his shorts, exposing himself, and began to inappropriately touch the undercover officer.
The officer called for back up, revealed his identity and arrested Donovan. He is now charged with battery on the detective and exposing his sexual organs. He was out of jail on bond on Tuesday.
Donovan has also been arrested previously in Lee County for lewd behavior.
