NORTH NAPLES, Fla.- A man on a motorcycle crashed into a tree in the Whole Foods parking lot at the Mercato. The accident happened around 5 p.m. Friday. Collier County EMS said the man was driving a Honda sports bike when he somehow lost control and crashed into a palm tree. Witnesses said if it wasn’t for the tree the man would have driven straight into the Whole Foods store at the Mercato. The man was driven to a nearby soccer field where he was airlifted to the hospital. Witnesses said he’s an employee of Whole Foods. No one else was injured in the crash.
