Drugs, stolen property seized from home of convicted felon

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Cash, drugs, and more than 80 suspected stolen items were found at the home of a convicted felon on Thursday.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old Tacuma Horrobin during the execution of a search warrant at his home on the 3800 block of 9th Street SW. During a two month investigation, undercover detectives purchased cocaine and heroin from Horrobin several times.

Inside Horrobin’s home, five loaded handguns, two of which were stolen, and approximately 150 rounds of ammunition were found. Officials also gathered 92.4 grams of powder cocaine, 19.8 grams of heroin, 27.2 grams of marijuana, 1.6 grams of MDMA, 11.0 grams of Oxycodone, and 13.0 grams of Xanax and other pharmaceuticals. Approximately $7,027 in cash was also taken as evidence.

During the course of the investigation, a total of 104.8 grams of cocaine and 42.8 grams of heroin were collected. Authorities say the street value for all the narcotics seized total $16,500.

“”Heroin is a very big problem in our county. We’ve been experiencing heroin overdose deaths the past couple months. And so this I believe took a, this affected the community in a positive way, without a doubt,” said Sgt. Karl Albenga with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Dozens of suspected stolen items including power tools, construction equipment and masonry equipment was also found.

Horrobin is being held on $271, 500 bond.
