Hurt Bald Eagle found in North Naples backyard healing

NORTH NAPLES, Fla.- A bald eagle is healing at The Conservancy of Southwest Florida hospital after it fell from the sky in a North Naples home in early December.

Jonee Miller, Manager of the wildlife hospital, said the Bald Eagle has wounds on its wing that are healing but fears it might have more severe injuries that could involve soft tissue damage. The Bald Eagle is on pain medication and is said to be walking inside its cage.

The family who found the Bald Eagle in their backyard is excited to hear its healing and could soon be released. There was a second Bald Eagle flying with the one who was injured and the Conservancy said they will evaluate the area and possibly release the injured eagle from where it fell.
