FORT MYERS, Fla.- One person was taken to the hospital following an early morning shooting on Monday, the Fort Myers Police Department said.
The shooting happened just after 2:30 a.m. near Stella Street and Ford Street. Police say Porsha Jones, 24, was shot while heading northbound on Ford Street when she ended up crashing into a wooded area.
Authorities found Jones conscious, outside her vehicle bleeding from a gunshot wound. She was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
