Baby Chance’s mother expected to take plea deal

SARASOTA, Fla.- The mom of baby Chance Walsh is expected to take a plea deal Wednesday morning.

Kristen Bury, 32, is facing charges of negligent homicide in her son’s death. Exact details of the plea deal are unknown at this time.

Chance was missing for weeks before his body was found in the woods in North Port in October. The baby’s father, Joseph Walsh, 36, is facing second-degree murder charges.

Detectives say Chance died in the morning hours of Sept. 16 at Bury and Walsh’s home on Orduna Drive before the couple buried the baby several days later in a remote, wooded area about 13 miles from their home.
