ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) – Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a taxi after they say he left his wallet in the back seat of the vehicle.

Citing an arrest report, the Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/1SHlL5a ) reports St. Petersburg police arrested 22-year-old D’Andre Foster on Feb. 3 on a charge of armed robbery.

The report says Foster requested a taxi on Jan. 1 and ordered the driver to stop at an intersection. Police say Foster asked for change and as the driver pulled cash from his pocket, Foster pointed a handgun at him, demanding money.

The two struggled for the weapon, but the suspect eventually ran off. Police say he left his wallet containing credit cards and Social Security information.

It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
