CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Two suspects remain at large in an armed robbery Monday night at Lowe’s, 285 SW 25th Lane, Cape Coral police said.

Two additional suspects, Taudarian L. Jackson, 19, and a 16-year-old male, who WINK News is not identifying because of his age, are currently in the Lee County jail facing charges related to the crime.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, police say the victim was approached by three males and one woman in a white four-door car. The suspects stole the victim’s phone, purse, and keys while threatening her with a gun, police said.

Authorities located the suspects’ car as it was leaving the Lowe’s parking lot, but when officers tried to pull the vehicle over, the suspects accelerated while trying to flee.

The suspects crashed into multiple vehicles while trying to make a turn at Skyline Boulevard, police said. Then the driver, identified as the 16-year-old, and two of the other suspects got out of the car and starting running from the scene, authorities said.

Authorities were able to detain Jackson and the 16-year-old driver but were unable to arrest or identify the other two suspects.

“Cape Coral Police Detectives are continuing to aggressively work this case to identify and locate the remaining suspects,” said Sgt. Dana Coston with the Cape Coral Police Department.

Police say the suspects’ vehicle was also discovered to have been stolen out of Fort Myers.
