NAPLES, Fla. – A car crash caused a massive power outage at a local elementary school after crashing into a utility box on Airport Pulling Road Wednesday morning, according to arrest records.

A young woman, 21-year-old Jazmin Mejia of Sunnyland Lane, was arrested and is facing DUI charges after police said she became with firefighters.

It was not clear from reports whether Mejia caused the power outage, though she was arrested at the scene.

Utility crews worked to restore power to Poinciana Elementary school and a spokesman for the Collier County School District said the school should reopen tomorrow.

One vehicle was overturned and another on fire, according to police.
