Sievers murder suspect moved to Collier County jail

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Jimmy Ray Rodgers, one of the three men charged in connection with the killing of Dr. Teresa Sievers, was moved to the Collier County jail on Friday – the same day Sievers’ husband was arrested in the case.

The move was confirmed by the Lee County jail, but authorities have not said why Rodgers was moved.

Prior to the relocation, the three men investigators say are involved in the alleged murder-for-hire plot were housed in the same facility.

Mark Sievers, who had his first court appearance on Saturday, remained in the Lee County jail Sunday under a $4.43 million bond.

Curtis Wayne Wright, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Friday, remains in the Lee County jail awaiting formal sentencing. He agreed to a 25 year prison sentence in exchange for cooperating with prosecutors.
