2nd bear sighting prompts Collier County school lockdown

IMMOKALEE, Fla. – A second Southwest Florida elementary school was on lockdown as wildlife officials tried to track down a bear on Wednesday, but the bear spotted on Village Oaks’ campus in Immokalee got away.

The first bear was tranquilized and carried away from Three Oaks Elementary in Lee County.
