MIAMI (AP) – Authorities say parts of Miami International Airport were briefly closed because of a piece of abandoned luggage.
Miami-Dade police reported in an email shortly after 5 p.m. Monday that the airport had returned to normal operations after the bag was deemed safe.
A short time earlier, airport officials announced that security checkpoints at Concourse G, H and J were closed, and the ticket counter areas and the upper and lower roadways outside of Concourse H were evacuated.
