Fort Myers Hooters burglar returns

Hooters burglary March 30 (FMPD)

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A man stole bottles of alcohol from the Hooters restaurant, 4411 Cleveland Avenue, during two separate burglaries, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

The first burglary happened on March 26 shortly before 6 a.m. After taking the bottles of alcohol from a cooler, the suspect left the restaurant riding on a bicycle with high handlebars, similar to a beach cruiser, authorities said.

The suspect returned to the restaurant to steal more bottles on March 30, police said.

The suspect is described as being around 30 years old, 5 feet tall with dark, short hair. The man was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, short-sleeved shirt, light-colored long pants and dark shoes.
