IMMOKALEE, Fla.- A 14-year-old girl says she was approached by a man in a white truck as she walked to Immokalee Middle School last week, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

The teen told deputies she was heading to school in the morning when the unknown man asked if she needed a ride. She declined and kept on walking, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly Haitian, and in his early 30s, deputies said. He also has a small scar on the right side of his face.

The make or model of the suspect’s vehicle is unknown.
