FORT MYERS, Fla.- An armed man who prompted a lockdown at Tri-Circle Pavers, 2709 Jeffcott Street, late Wednesday morning painted disturbing messages on the business’ wall last week.

Melvin M. Curry, 18, is currently facing charges in a previous burglary at the business on March 30, police said. During that burglary he left messages behind.

“Satan is my father,” he wrote on one wall.

Curry was arrested and faces fresh charges for Wednesday’s evacuation and lockdown, the Fort Myers Police Department said.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, an employee at the business reported seeing a man armed with a handgun entering the property.

Businesses in the area were placed on lock down as authorities searched for the suspect.

Investigators later identified Curry as the burglary suspect, officials said.
